The New Deal was a series of domestic programs enacted in The United States in order to fight the Great Depression. It is often considered as an example of successful reform of the capitalistic system, although the recovery of American economy was pretty slow. It actually completely recovered during the war due to massive production of weapons. a. The relief was indeed one of the goals of the first part of the New Deal, and it was successful, since many unemployed persons were put to work on a wide range of government financed public works projects. b. The reform was based on the idea that the government intervention was necessary to rationalize and stabilize the economy. But, these interventions worsened the Depression. d. Today, there is still the Social Security Act, which was invented within the New Deal. There is also the Tennessee Valley Authority, which was formed to modernize very poor regions, such as Tennessee.

Which phrase best describes the items listed below? Be born in the United States become naturalized have a parent who is a US ci
Lesechka [4]

Answer: A. Ways a person can become a US citizen.

Further detail:

 1. Anyone born within the borders of the United States is considered a US citizen by birth. This is even true if the parents of the child born in the US are not citizens. Being born on US soil is a way a child is considered a US citizen. This has become a matter of some contention in recent years, as some opponents of illegal immigration accuse immigrants of coming across the border to have a baby just so that baby can have US citizenship.
 2. If either of a set of parents are US citizens, a child born to those parents is also a US citizen, even if you were born in a foreign country. So if parents are stationed overseas or traveling, and a birth occurs outside the United States, that child still has US citizenship.
 3. For those not citizens by being born on US soil or to a US citizen parent, applying to become a naturalized citizen is the path for pursuing citizenship. On the USA.gov website, you can find a full desciption of "How to Apply for US Citizenship" and the naturalization process.

Why did the women that Helen Campbell interviewed in the 1880s prefer factory work over domestic service?
Sonbull [250]

Answer:

The women that Helen Campbell interviewed in the 1880s preferred factory work over domestic service because the women sought good remuneration, respect, some time of leisure, and some other perks that they did not get by rendering domestic service.

Explanation:

 • The women who chose to involve themselves in domestic service were observed to be receiving the treatment that is usually given to maids.
 • Moreover, they had to bear the mental and physical stress of managing the household and looking after the wellbeing of the entire family singlehandedly.
 • Hence, women preferred factory work over domestic service so that they don't have to go through the things mentioned here and also receive the perks for being a factory worker.
