Answer:

1. The event that caused the Southern states to secede was the election of Abraham Lincoln as the President of the United States.

2. North strength- large navy and fleet of trading ships.

North weakness- long distances to transport troops and supplies.

South strength- trained soldiers, hunting skills and attended military school.

South weakness- small population to volunteer for army and make supplies.

With the end of WW2 korea was one of a whole. Until USA and Russia established a line through it. Soviet Union in the north and USA in the south. Both wanted korea to be a whole but neither would give up a side.
