How is the cell structure related to its function in your body

Biology

<span>A cell with a large surface area or with microvilli (which increase surface area) are specialized for absorption. Many cells have different protein markers on their surface to accept certain specific hormones and allow them into the cell, like muscle cells reacting to adrenaline. Muscle cells are long and able to contract, allowing for overall muscle contraction and body movement. </span>

<span>I guess the hormone part I mentioned applies to chemicals; endocrine cells produce hormones that other cells would not. </span>

<span>For organelles, muscle cells don't have many of the organelles that other cells do because of their very specialized functions. </span>

<span>I hope this helps, it would literally take volumes of text books to answer this question completely.</span>

With reference to the induced fit model, describe how the tertiary structure of a named enzyme facilitates its function as a bio
Olenka [21]

The induced-fit model includes the change in the conformational site of the substrate and enzyme. It is done till the enzyme completely binds the substrate. This will then activates the enzyme to perform its work.

<h3>What is induced fit theory?</h3>

Induced fit theory or model suggest that the activation site of enzymes and the binding site of substrates undergo some conformational changes to fit into each other.

This binding results in activation of the enzyme and as the enzyme has a three-dimensional tertiary structure, this would help it to get fitted into the substrate.

Thus, with reference to the induced fit model tertiary structure of enzyme facilitates its function as a biological catalyst.

People have built canals and levees to divert water away from its natural flow and prevent floods in residential areas near the
lord [1]

Answer:

Some areas of the Everglades have dried up.

Explanation:

These changes have caused some areas of the Everglades to have dried up. The everglades were known as the wetlands due to the massive flooding that occurred often but these canals made it so that water would not flow into some of the areas in the Wetlands. Therefore, since water never reached these areas they quickly began drying up and making the ground infertile due to the lack of water which the plants need to survive.
