A second-class citizen is a person who is systematically discriminated against within a state or other political jurisdiction, despite their nominal status as a citizen or legal resident there. But one of my favourite novels about second-class citizens is “Second-Class Citizen” by Buchi Emecheta this novel traces the journey of its protagonist, Adah, from childhood in Nigeria to adulthood in England. Around the age of eight, Adah develops a dream to live in the United Kingdom and receive an education. But I don’t want to spoil to much and I really recommend it!!!

It is divided into four stages

sensorimotor stage is between birth months and 2 years. The development will begin with simple reflexes.
It advance to the infant developing abilities to use primitive symbols and it is the beginning of true creativity.
Therefore, Avery would consider using symbols the highest accomplishment of the sensorimotor period of development.
