The war started on January 12, 1753, when troops from France that were in Canada invaded the Ohio River region. Great Britain claimed that those lands were its territory. The firsts armed confrontations started in 1754. The Fall of New France happened in January 1760,  when the English troops invaded Montreal, and the fighting in the North American territory ended in 1760. On February 10, 1763, Britain and France signed the Treaty of Paris to formally end all differences. On October 17, the same year, English King George III signs the Proclamation of 1763.
