True. The politician is using the bandwagon type of propaganda. This propaganda works very well on people who are not aware of whats happening in the society. Especially when the politician gives out money or buy votes from people he wants to persuade.
Bandwagon is a type of propaganda technique and fallacy, in which a speaker tries to convince the audience based on the idea many people or everyone support a certain idea or action. This means the speaker suggests a person should follow an idea or action because everyone does. According to this, if a politician claims "everybody is joining his team and you should too" he is using this type of propaganda as he is suggesting because other people are in his team everyone should.
