It is false that if two planes cross one another, then their intersection is two lines.

If the lines are parallel, they never cross. They continue. Intersection means that the lines are going to cross at some point. That point is called the point of intersection. So in mathematics, more specifically, in geometry, parallel lines never cross or intersect each other. They never meet.
