The Constitution makes no mention of political parties or their role in policymaking.
The United States Constitution is the supreme law of the United States. The Constitution, originally comprising seven articles, outlines the national frame of government. Its first three articles embody the doctrine of the separation of powers. Articles Four, Five and Six introduces concepts of federalism, establishing the rights and responsibilities of state governments, the states in relationship to the federal government, and the shared process of constitutional amendment. Article Seven describes the procedure subsequently used by the thirteen States to ratify it.

Before and During the Napoleonic Wars, both France and Britain wanted the US to join their side and fight the other. However, the US chose to stay out of it, so both the French Navy and British Navy began capturing American sailors, called impressment, to fight in their navy, claiming that they were deserters. They also raided and stole ships and cargo from the American Navy vessels and merchant vessels. This started what is known as the XYZ Affair, which was a phony war against France, and the War of 1812 against Britain.
<span>Because of Babylonian exile, Jewish people got together and were more cohesive and formed certain traditions. Two things that resulted from captivity is the tradition of having a rabbi and creating the Talmud. Having a leader as well as a text of teachings made Judaism stronger.</span><span />
