I believe that the Monroe Doctrine should not be followed today. The Monroe Doctrine was a United States policy of opposing European colonialism in The Americas beginning in 1823. There is no need for that, for all people are created equal and we shouldn't be blocking them out. They have the right to come in unless they mean harm.

Labor unions in the United States are organizations that are formed by workers from various industries that are recognized under "<u>US labor law</u>". Labor union opposed immigrants because they thought that the American workers will be undermined.  

In the 1850’s, Chinese immigrants established Chinatowns in cities mainly on the western coast of the United States as U.S. Labor union did not allow Chinese immigrants to become members.
