The answer is recency effect. The recency effect happens when you only remember the things or events that just happened in a recent time.In this case, Sheldon is showing the recency effect because he only remembered the last part of the list that he was going to buy. If Sheldon had remembered the first part, then he is experiencing the Primary effect, which is the opposite of recency effect

Sheldon showed the Serial-Position effect. This effect refers to man's ability to remember a series of things may it be from the beginning or the last part of a series but missing the middle part. In Sheldon's case, he was only able to remember the last few items on his list of things that he needed to buy from the grocery store. This tendency is specifically called the recency effect because the last few items were the last things he saw right before he left for the grocery store. If things were the other way around and he only remembered the first items on his list, the it would be called Primary Effect.

WARRIOR [948]

Answer:

Break Even Point

In Units = 2,000 units

In value = $80,000

Explanation:

Break even Point = \frac{Fixed\ Cost}{Contribution}

When we use contribution per unit, we get the break even point in units sales.

When we use the contribution margin as a percentage of sales we get break even sales in value.

Contribution per unit = $20

Contribution margin in percentage = $20/$40 = 50%

Therefore, Break even Point in units = \frac{40,000}{20} = 2,000

Break even units = 2,000

Break Even Point in value = \frac{40,000}{0.50} = 80,000

Sales to be made in value at break even = $80,000

Suppose the September Eurodollar futures contract has a price of 96.4. You plan to borrow $50m for 3 months in September at LIBO
bija089 [108]

Answer:

Explanation:

Definition of simple terminologies ;

  • A contractual agreement is an agreement which is made on future exchanges in order to buy or sell goods at a fixed price at a specified time period.
  • LIBOR stands for London interbank offered rate which is the rate at which  banks borrow money from other banks in london market. this rate is a fixed term by the british bankers association.

a) The implied LIBOR of the September Eurodollar futures of 96.4 is =  100 96.4 /400-=0.9%

(b) As we want to borrow money, it implies buying protection against high interest rates, which means low Eurodollar future prices. We will short the Eurodollar contract.

c) Number of contact to be entered into = One Eurodollar contract which is based on a $1 million 3-month deposit. As such, entering into hedge a loan of $50M, will automatically implies entering into 50 short contracts.

d) A true 3-month LIBOR of 1% means an annualized position (annualized by market conventions) of 1% x 4 = 4%. Therefore, our 50 short contracts will pay: [96.4 − (100 − 4) × 100 × $25] × 50 = $50,000.

The increased interest rate has  made the loan more expensive as such, the loss to exposure  will be compensated hence we have to pay the following amount ; ($50,000,000 x 0.01) - $50,000

= $450,000
