My answer would be B. the reason why is because the way i see it, y is the philantropist. he gave the money to the students, which is on top, the number of students being x, and they also get a share of 2,000 dollars. if the money was on the bottom with the x number of students, then it would be saying that they already had the 2,000 dollars.
i hope this helps

Relations and functions need help please.
Ierofanga [76]
Just substitute the value of x back into the function.

So, f(x) = -x^2 + 1 becomes f(-3) = -(-3)^2 + 1

f(-3) = 3^2 + 1 \\ \\ f(-3) = 9 + 1 \\ \\ f(-3) = 10

So, f(-3) is equal to 10.

1 2 2 4 3 9 4 16 what is the range of the function please help
Ivahew [28]

Answer:

<h2 />

Step-by-step explanation:

x            y

1            2

2           4

3           9

4           16

This sounds like a quadratic equation of f(x)=x^2, thus, the range is:

<h3>R(x): (-∞,+∞)</h3><h3 /><h3>If the function only has these points, then the range is:</h3><h3>R(x): [2]∪[4]∪[9]∪[16]</h3>
