English

In the poem "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night", People are shown dying in the light while the people in the dark know better and stay where they are. It doesn't show anything about parents or families, so A is out. It doesn't really show anything about people being mean to each other, nor nice, so B is out. There are alot of people struggling in the light while the people in the dark stand by and stare, so C could be an option. People were dying in the light, so i don't know if D really works, so its either C or D, but C is the more likely option.

A pizza shop is purchased for $712,000, and a down payment of 15% of the purchase price is made. Find the down payment
xenn [34]

The correct answer is D.

A down payment is an up-front payment you make to purchase something of considerable value.

In this example the total cost of the property is $712,000.

The down payment is the 15% of the total price.

You calculate the 15% of 712,000 using a calculator.

The result of this operation is the number 10,680.

The down payment is $10, 680.

What are Beneatha's hopes for her future? Why is Walter concerned about Beneatha's plans?(A RAISIN IN THE SUN: ACT 1: SCENE 1)
klasskru [66]

Answer:

Beneatha plans to study medicine and this worries Walter because of money.

Explanation:

According to Walter, Beneatha should dedicate herself to something else and not study medicine. Walter's concern comes from the family's lack of money, and Beneatha's chosen career means a part of the check they will receive for the death of their father.

This causes Walter and Beneatha to argue since she disagrees with him and maintains that her mother will do whatever she wants because that is her money.

The Crucible by Arthur Miller
kaheart [24]
1692, the Massachusetts Bay Colony executed fourteen women, five men, and two dogs for witchcraft. The sorcery materialized in January. The first hanging took place in June, the last in September; a stark, stunned silence followed. Although we will never know the exact number of those formally charged with having “wickedly, maliciously, and feloniously” engaged in sorcery, somewhere between a hundred and forty-four and a hundred and eighty-five witches and wizards were named in twenty-five villages and towns. The youngest was five; the eldest nearly eighty. Husbands implicated wives; nephews their aunts; daughters their mothers; siblings each other. One minister discovered that he was related to no fewer than twenty witches.
