I believe that this is due to how Japan is near one of the plate boundaries or mid-ocean ridges, where it's easier for a tsunami (from the ridges) to accelerate its speed and for an earthquake (from the plate boundaries) to collide or interact in a myriad of ways. I know that this wasn't so specific, as you have to find the name of the ridge or plates involved in this type of action.

Which of the following statements describes a defining characteristic of Canada’s territories?
skad [1K]
B. canadian territories are under a constitutional monarchy

Canada still exists such that the Queen of England is the head of state or formal representative of canada. However they are protected by a constitution and act as an independent nation with a head of government (the prime minister) taking care of actual governmental affairs. The queen does not have direct power in the same manner as the prime minister hence the division head of state vs head of government.

What are some problems with eating fish from higher trophic levels?
NikAS [45]
Trophic levels refer to where organisms fall on the food chain. Fish from higher trophic levels are often larger and have a higher dollar value at market, resulting in overfishing and the depletion of those species from the wild. If those fish are continued to be consumed at a high level, the loss of predators at the top of the food chain could throw off the balance in the ecosystem.
