Biology

Answer:

Explanation:

Put one pair of letters across the top, the other pair of letters along the left side. Fill in the boxes using the letter above the top and the letter to the side.

Of the four total boxes, there are:

- two Hh

- two hh

50% Hh and 50% hh

Since the parent with hh is recessive, it's the plant with shorter height genes.

Recessive genes (h) are also not dominant. When paired with, a non-recessive letter, the offspring will have the non-recessive letter.

In this case, Hh plants will take the H, taller height.

The hh plants will take the "h", recessive, shorter height, because there is no other letter.

Therefore, 50% of the offspring will be regular height and 50% of the offspring will be shorter height.

A male cardinal’s red color is an example of a trait affected by natural selection. The females of the species choose mates base
irakobra [83]

Answer:

decreased variation in the shades of red over time because no form of the trait is advantageous

Explanation:

Natural selection tends to favor those organisms which are better adapted to live in an environment. These organisms are able to survive and pass on their characteristics to their offsprings.

The red colour of the male cardinal's was selected by natural selection and hence this colour was abundant. If the females choose some other criteria for mating with males, then natural selection will no longer favor the red colour and hence there will be a decrease in the variations of red coloiur.
