Answer:

One of the problems I am having with the sales team is lack of communication.

  1. There is a lot of sales and marketing activities going on the company, yet we don't have a system in place to ensure that I receive accurate feedback from all the relevant sections. For instance, there is no way to accurately know what feedback regarding our products and services that the sales team are collecting.
  2. I am not getting real-time results as they are happening. Sometimes it takes 6 weeks to get information about something that happened. By that time, if it's a negative occurrence, we are way out of course before we can make corrections. If it's a great occurrence, we lose out on the moment and the timing to capitalise on it for more results.
  3. This lack of data/poorly collected information is also affecting my working relationship with my superiors as I am unable to provide my superiors with market intelligence.

Solutions

In order to mitigate these problems, I suggest we hold an emergency training for every member of the sales and marketing team on communications and how it can significantly improve our bottom line as well as everyone's take home.

For instance, if there is a new entrant into the market, the sales team usually are the first to know. If this is not communicated immediately, we lose out on the right timing to react with precision and speed.

I would also suggest that we provide the sales team with a simple app on their mobile phones which enables them to give feedback in realtime and at the end of each days work. We would need to work with the IT team on this.

Thank you.

Leviafan [203]

Answer:

E. a straight salary.

Explanation:

Straight salary is a compensation method where the salesperson receives a fixed amount. Regardless of the level of output, the salesperson does not get any sales commissions or bonuses. Straight salary is time tied, not performance-focused.

Straight salary is suitable when the business objective is long-term market presence and not short-term high sales volume. It is also used when it is difficult to isolate an individual's effort from team performance.

Straight salary or time-bound salaries do not encourage individuals to put in extra efforts. The other options have commissions and bonus, which is not a feature of straight salaries.

Foods Galore is a major distributor to restaurants and other institutional food users. Foods Galore buys cereal from a manufactu
Oksanka [162]

Answer:

The appropriate solution is:

(a) 2828 cases each time

(b) $4005656.85

(c) $3609800

Explanation:

The given values are:

Annual demand,

D = 200,000 cases

Per case cost,

C = $20

Carrying host,

H = 10 \ percent\times 20

  = $2

Ordering cost,

S = $40

(a)

The economic order quantity will be:

⇒ Q^*=\sqrt{(\frac{2DS}{H} )}

On substituting the values, we get

         =\sqrt{[\frac{(2\times 200000\times 40)}{2} ]}

         =\sqrt{\frac{16000000}{2} }

         =2828

(b)

According to the question,

The annual ordering cost will be:

=  (\frac{D}{Q^*}) S

=  (\frac{200000}{2828}) 40

=  2828.85 ($)

The annual carrying cost will be:

=  (\frac{Q^*}{2})H

=  (\frac{2828}{2} )2

=  2828 ($)

The annual purchase cost will be:

=  D\times C

=  200000\times 20

=  4000000 ($)

Now,

The total inventory cost will be:

=  2828.85+2828+4000000

=  4005656.85 ($)

(c)

According to the question,

Order quantity,

Q = 10000 cases

Per case cost,

C = $18

Carrying cost,

H = 10 \ percent\times 18

   = 1.8

The annual ordering cost will be:

=  (\frac{D}{Q} )S

=  (\frac{200000}{10000} )40

=  800 ($)

The annual carrying cost will be:

=  (\frac{Q}{2} )H

=  (\frac{10000}{2} )1.8

=  9000 ($)

The annual purchase cost will be:

=  D\times C

=  200000\times 18

=  3600000

Now,

The total cost of inventory will be:

=  800+9000+3600000

=  3609800 ($)

allsm [11]

Answer:

the per unit cost is $10

Explanation:

The computation of the per unit cost is shown below:

As we know that

Per unit cost is

= Total cost ÷ number of units produced

= ($5,090 + $5,838 + $4,042) ÷ (1,497 units)

= ($14,970) ÷ (1,497 units)

= $10

hence, the per unit cost is $10

We simply applied the above formula so that the correct value could come

And, the same is to be considered
