Answer:

The correct answer is - principle of segregation.

Explanation:

The principle of segregation explains that the in what manner pair of gene type or alleles are separated into sex or reproductive cells. These variants are known as the gene alleles. These are first studied by the Mendel as the traits in 1865. In this case the results are not consistent with this principle of segregation concept.

Thus, the correct answer is - principle of segregation.

Where are the three seismographs used to find the epicenter of this earthquake located?
8090 [49]

Scientists use triangulation to find the epicenter of an earthquake. When seismic data is collected from at least three different locations, it can be used to determine the epicenter by where it intersects. Every earthquake is recorded on numerous seismographs located in different directions. Each seismograph records the times when the first (P waves) and second (S waves) seismic waves arrive. From that information, scientists can determine how fast the waves are traveling. Knowing this helps them calculate the distance from the epicenter to each seismograph.

To determine the direction each wave traveled, scientists draw circles around the seismograph locations. The radius of each circle equals the known distance to the epicenter. Where these three circles intersect is the epicenter.

Match the human activity with its effect on groundwater.
fgiga [73]

Answer:

3. Household wastes

2. Landfills

1. Agriculture

Explanation:

The groundwater is more and more contaminated, and there are numerous ways in which the contamination occurs. The causes of pollution mainly come from the human activities. The humans use all sorts of chemicals, fossil fuels, paints, and often there is waste from them, waste that is dumped into the drainage, and occasionally reaches the groundwater. The leaking of linings also manages to cause lot of damage, as very often it can reach the groundwater, causing heavily contamination of it. The agriculture, as much as it is needed, is a big polluter too, and the pollution mainly comes from the usage of pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides, which wash through the soil and end up in the groundwater.
