I only know of two compromises, unless you are talking about the bill of rights. But the great compromise set a two house legislature, which is different from before because the states mostly had power. The three fifths compromise counted three fifths of the slaves as population. Except cool fact they weren’t called slaves they were called others. There was the free men and the others. It affected the country because it added onto the population. And the bill of rights was made to settle the conflict between the anti federalists and the federalists. The bill of rights was written by James Madison.

The Great Compromise, which created the two-house legislature, satisfied both large and small states by giving each group fair representation. The Three-Fifths Compromise, which set up a system for counting slaves when states determined their numbers of representatives, and the compromise on the slave trade kept both northern and southern states in the Union. The two-house legislature proved successful in providing fair representation for large and small states, but the compromise on slavery ultimately had unfortunate consequences that created a blot on the country’s history.

If the Cold War had become hot what would have been the most likely outcome?
Lunna [17]

Answer:

B) Nuclear Warfare

Explanation:

B) nuclear warfare is the most possible answer since both russia and Us had nuclear weapons at the time, and both countries were threatening each other. But were the cold war get hot, I personally believe nuclear warfare wouldn't have happened because of MAD -- Mutually Assured Destruction. If Russia nuclear bombed US, then it was certain that US would bomb Russia and both countries would be completely decimated so there was no point in Nuclear Warfare.

Arguments for the legality of secession
BARSIC [14]

Answer:

- The U.S. colonists seceded from Great Britain simply because they did not like the taxes King George had imposed, and the taxes were reasonable. They were simply to make up for the money that was lost while defending the colonists, but they decided to revolt and secede in order to create a government they thought just.

- The natural god given rights is life, liberty, and property. To deny someone the ability to secede would be to deny one his/her right to all three of these rights.

- Entering the union was a voluntary act; therefore it should be legal to leave the union whenever any one state pleases.
