In civilized society gender inequality was minimal.
This was because the men and women hunter and gathers contributed equally and both needed to get food. Women were also worshiped for their ability of reproduction and nurturing.
Later in agricultural societies the concept of property was created and not everyone had to farm, just male laborers.

America would have to participate in settling world problems if another Great War was to be prevented.
