La Malinche was a Nahua woman who acted as Herman Cortes' interpreter, adviser, and mediator. She was integral in helping him overthrow the Aztecs.

Belgium wanted to imperialize the Congo for economic reasons. It had highly valuable resources such as ivory, rubber, and precious minerals. Belgium built railroads because certain parts of the Congo were not accessible by water. All Belgium wanted to do was make as much money as possible by colonizing.
