Answer:

2 feeling of high energy and enthusiasm.

Explanation:

While the original meaning of the word "torrid" is more akin to numeral 1), in this context, numeral 2) would be more appropriate, since in a figurative sense, the word torrid is also used to express the idea of something being high energy and intense, and this sense makes more sense when talking about the sound of a band.

sergey [27]

Answer:

The author uses the long-line structure.

Explanation:

Free verse poem is a poem which has no particular rhyme or rhythm. The author Allen Ginsberg’s in the poem "A Supermarket in California" uses long line structure. He uses free verse poem. The long-line structure imitates stream-of-conscious thought.

Stream of conscious means when one image leads to other. In the poem he uses this in a poetic style. The poem is about a guy who walks on the street, goes to supermarket and looks at people. While doing this he also calls upon a guy, Walt Whitman, who is also an outcast like the poet.

Write a story about an occasion when someone you trusted betrayed you
Vinil7 [7]

Answer:

The time my best friend lied to me.

Explanation:

This was long ago before anything happend to the world. It was just a normal school day. I had math, history, and science before lunch and recess. The day was going great before my best friend asked me if he could go to my house later today so we could hang out. I of course said "yes" But I wish I have never had.

After the school day was over, I came home to ask my mom if My friend could come over? She said, "yes, just make sure he cleans up after himself." I was so happy! After my mom picked him up, we played for hours upon hours, until he was hungry, (and so was I) so I asked my mom if we could have something to eat? she gave us some yogurt to munch on. We sat down in my living room, talking about the school day, and what we got for homework. Then he said " I'm feeling tired, and sick. Could you go get me some water?" I said "Ok!" I jumped up and went to go get my mom. I asked her what I should give him to help with his stomach. She got some medicine for him. After we got it, we went to go give it to him, when he was jumping around, playing with my cats! He then saw us and proceeded to act like he was still sick. After that point, he became my worst enemy.

P.S This was like 4-5 years ago. Everything happened when we were kids.

My uncle Joe bought a dozen tulips. What is the appositive in this sentence.
ruslelena [56]

Based on the definition of appositive, this is a noun or noun phrase that is used to rename the another noun beside it. Basing on the given sentence above, I believe that it does not have an appositive. The nouns are Joe and Tulips, but no other noun that renames either of the two.

Hope this helps bro.
