We are supposed to put an interrogative word for each sentence, depending on the information given within the sentence.
1. ¿Qué cualidades buscas en un amigo?
What qualities?
2. ¿Qué es más importante para ti, vivir bien o vivir mucho tiempo?
What is more important...?
3. ¿Dónde vas cuando quieres pasarlo bien?
Where do you go...?
4. ¿Cuántos años tienes?
How old are you?
5. ¿Quién es la persona a la que respetas más?
Who is the person...?
6. ¿Cuánto dinero necesitas para estar contento/a?
How much money do you...?
7. ¿Qué problemas tienes en la vida?
What kind of problems do you...?
8. ¿Quién es tu familia?
Who is your family?
Some interrogative words in Spanish have singular/plural form: quién-quiénes, cuánto-cuántos, etc. The following noun will tell us if we should use singular or plural.
¿ es tu familia?
<em>Es</em> is third person singular, so we would put <em>quién. </em>If it was
¿ <u>son</u> tu familia?
...then we would put <em>quiénes.</em>

It is important not to forget to put <em>tilde</em> on the interrogative word in order to distinguish it from the pronoun.
