You would have to transform the fractions to decimals by dividing. For the first one, if you divide 4 by 5 you get .8. To transform a decimal to percent you move the decimal place 2 times to the right or multiply by 100 (They both would give you the same thing)

Compute the exact value of the function for the given x-value without using a calculator. (5 points) f(x) = (1/4)^x for x = -3 a
konstantin123 [22]

Answer:

D. -1/64

Step-by-step explanation:

F(x) = (1/4)^-3

This is 1/4 to the power of -3

= -(1/4)*(-1/4)*(-1/4)

= -(1*1*1)/(4*4*4)

= -1/64

Another way to calculate this is (-1/4)*(-1/4)*(-1/4). This is the same as (-1/4)³

When solved out the solution = -1/64

Therefore the correct answer to this question is the last option, which is d.

Thank you.

XY and BD are parallel lines
Leto [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

XY//BD and XB=XC

Since, XB = XC, then ∆XBC is an isosceles triangle with angle <B = <C.

A. If an angle occupy the same relative position at each intersection where a straight line crosses two others straight lines. If the two straight lines are parallel, then the corresponding angles are equal.

To check for corresponding angle: look at if the shape form "F" shape and be sure that the lines that form the "F" shape are parallel.

So, to complete the statement,

Angle XBC = 55° because it a corresponding angle to AXY

They form a "F" and XY//BD

B. To find BXC

We know that triangle BXC is an isosceles triangle

The sum of angle in a triangle is 180°

Then,

XBC + BCX + BXC = 180°

Since, ∆XBC is isosceles then, angle <XBC = < BCX = 55°

Then,

XBC + BCX + BXC = 180°

55 + 55 + BXC = 180°

110 + BXC = 180°

BXC = 180° - 110

BXC = 70°
