The system of equations y=3x+1/2 and y=1/5x-1 4/5 is shown on the graph below
Alborosie

Answer:

The first answer in your list of possible options: (0.7, -1.7)

Step-by-step explanation:

Notice that the crossing of the two lines takes place in the fourth quadrant, therefore since the solution to the system is the point where both lines intersect, the solution should have a positive x-value, and a negative y-value to belong to the fourth quadrant.

Then, we need to look at the tick mark labels for the horizontal and vertical axes. based on such, realize that the x value needs to be between the values 0.5 and 1, while the y-value needs to be between -1.5 and -2.

Therefore, (0.7, -1.7) is the closer value one can find from the graph.

Find the equation of the line.<br> Use exact numbers.
True [87]

Answer: y=2x+4

Step-by-step explanation:

From the graph, we already know what the y-intercept is. The line crosses the y-axis at (0,4). Therefore, 4 is our y-intercept.

For the slope, we can take any 2 points on the graph and then use the formula m=\frac{y_{2}-y_{1} }{x_{2}-x_{1} } to find slope. Let's use (1,6) and (2,8).

m=\frac{8-6}{2-1}=\frac{2}{1}  =2

Now that we know the slope, we can fill in our slope-intercept equation.

y=2x+4

Probability of answering 8 or more questions correctly ;

Direct sum:

P(x ≥ 8) = p(8) + p(9) + p(10)

P(≥ 8) = 0.00038624 + 0.00002861 + 0.00000095

= 0.0004158

Complement :

P(x ≥ 8) = 1 - p(x ≤ 7)

1 - [p(7) + p(6) + p(5) + p(4) + p(3) + p(2) + p(1) + p(0)]
