Well one thing that surely helped Alexander and the Hellenistic kings in spreading Greek culture throughout the empire was the fact that they conquered different lands and stationed their troops there which were mostly Greeks in the beginning. Another thing was resettling native Greeks to various places across the empire so that the different nations would mingle.
