Answer:

288 square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

You have to do 8 times 4 times 3 and then you get 96 for one part of the figure. There are 3 equivalent parts so you have to multiply that by 3 (96×3). After doing that, you get 288 square inches. ( hope I get brain)

Laquita had 5 7/9 yards of fabric. She used 3 2/3 to make a blouse.Write and slove an expresstion to find how much fabric has be
enyata [817]

Answer: \frac{11}{3}\ yards

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Laquita has 5 \frac{7}{9}\ yards of fabric i.e.

\Rightarrow \dfrac{5\times9+7}{9}=\dfrac{45+7}{9}=\dfrac{52}{9}\ yards

She used  3\ \frac{2}{3} yards to make a blouse i.e.

\Rightarrow \dfrac{3\times 3+2}{3}=\dfrac{11}{3}\ yards

Left fabric

\Rightarrow \frac{52}{9}-\frac{11}{3}=\frac{52-33}{9}\\\\\Rightarrow \frac{19}{9}\ yards

Write the equation of the line that passes through the points (-9,-9)(−9,−9) and (6,-7)(6,−7). Put your answer in fully simplifi
nika2105 [10]

2x-15y = 117 is the simplified form of the equation.

Equation : In a mathematical sentence, if two expressions are present in left and right side of an equal sign, then the mathematical sentence is called an equation.

If, a, b, c be integers and x is x-intercept & y is y-intercept, then ax+by=c is called equation of line.

Given that, the equation of the line that passes through the points (-9,-9)(−9,−9) and (6,-7)(6,−7).

Now, (-9,-9) & (6, -7) have a line through them with slope = (-9+7)/(-9-6) = 2/15

Therefore, (y+7) = 2/15×(x-6)

⇒ y+7 = 2x/15 - 4/5

⇒ y = 2x/15 - 4/5 - 7

⇒ y = 2x/15 -39/5

This is the equation in slope intercept form.

Multiplying the equation with 15, we get,

⇒ 15y = 2x-117

⇒ 2x-15y = 117 , which is the simplified form of the equation.

The value of the missing length is 20

Let the missing length be x

From Parallel lines and transversal theorem, we have that

If three or more parallel lines intersect two transversals, then they cut off the transversals proportionally.

Then, we can write that

\frac{x}{15} =\frac{16}{12}

∴ x = \frac{15\times 16}{12}

x = 20

Hence, the value of the missing length is 20
