Nicolae Ceausescu (NC) increase Romania's agricultural exports to other countries - Romania suffered major food shortages.

NC gave orders to the army to attack protesters - The romanian armed forces sided with the public and executed NC

NC planned to destroy rural settlements in Romania in order to develop new industries - Romanian citizens carried out massive protests and street demonstrations
