It kind of makes me feel gross but happy that this woman get to see the man she loves survive war. because this was a picture taken after America's success in war I believe

By looking at the photograph it makes me feel that the couple kissing in the picture, are meeting after a very long time and they are so in love with each other. The picture depicts that the man is in army and is coming back home to his wife/finance after the war.

It makes me think about that how the couple must be feeling, meeting each other after such a long time. That how blessed they must be feeling to reunite again and surviving the war.
