Typically a classical symphony especially in the 18th century followed a distinct order of sonata-allegro for an opening or as an introductory. Then the theme and variations which would give way to the minuet and trio. Lastly you can use the rondo and also a sonata I believe. That's just from my experiences from listening to multiple sources of compositions.

The answer to the first question is False. They are called illuminated manuscripts because of the use of gold and silver leaf, which illuminates the text and accompanying illustrations.

The second is also False. Scriptoriums were places where books were copied and illuminated.
