Because it is a very relevant event for the country's history, and refers to a situation that we can witness today. From the studies of this event we can learn how the segregation was harmful and caused a great delay to our society.

The event described in the article was the Brown vs. Board of Education case. This case was a historic landmark for the country as it was the first attempt to end the laws of social segregation in the country. In addition to its historical importance, the case is still relevant today, as we are a society that maintains and encourages cases of racism on a daily basis, for this reason, this event is taught in schools.

By reading this case, we can see how racism and social segregation was harmful and that delayed the evolution of society, in addition to harming thousands of African Americans who are an important part of this country.
