So what the first thing you see in the painting. To me honest i saw the tree and the grass first.
I would say this picture is realistic because even though the painting is not the most realistic thing he/she tried to capture the blue of the sky the green brown color of the tree and grass. 
Could you be a little more specific for the last two what elements like paint brushes or oil paints?

Basically she means that a documentary photograph isn’t always 100% true something else could’ve happened in the time the photo was taken and it made it look a different way . and he’s photographs can convey a larger meaning than what is present because you could take a picture of something and not know the full meaning behind it .
