Compare the importance and opportunity of education in the north to that in the south.

History

Although inequality was reasonably common in both the North and the South, it was more significant in the South. The Northern population was more likely to be middle class, as well as more likely to engage in different trades besides agriculture. This meant that education in the North was more common and widespread than in the South, where it was the privilege of a few lucky ones.

The northerners put education in greater emphasis and importance in their life. Meanwhile, southerners thought that education was a matter of privacy.

EXPLANATION:

Here is the explanation of comparison between the North and the South in terms of the importance and opportunity of education:

• Throughout history, it is known that education has significantly developed. Because of the growth of transportation, manufacturing, trade, and city inhabitants in the North in the 1800s, numerous alterations were introduced. Many cities took on a progressively crucial role in defining the culture of the North.

Most of the Northerners were religious Protestant agriculturalists. Since villages had grown into sound centres of community activities, both education and religion were systematized. There were churches and schools in many cities.

The Northern concern on public education raised after the 1830s, and numerous public schools were established in many larger cities. However, the smallest number of boys studied in secondary school and college was earmarked frequently for rich people. Then again, education in the north came to be much greater emphasis on importance in people’s lives as time passed by.

• In the meantime, the southern states did not own the tradition of public education to establish, as the north did. It was only once the Civil War where the southern states started to enact for state-supported schools.

They thought that in all traditional communities, the most crucial thing to teach a child in was providing education at home. Southerners assumed that education was a matter of private and education was not an affair of the state. Besides, education was very luxurious in the south and it could only be obtained by the rich people who could hire a private tutor.

How was fascism different than other dictators?
vodka [1.7K]
Fascism is something you believe. Dictatorship is something you do. Fascism is something you believe because it is first and foremost a type of political ideology. So basically it's a set of principles and beliefs you hold in your head and want to see in the world. Dictatorship in the modern sense is something you do because it is just a type of mangement. A small group gives the orders, the others follow them and nobody from outside the small group can change the small group.(I said modern sense because in ancient times it was a temporary period of rule by the few in a time of crisis to safeguard a less dictatorial way of running things when no crises were around). Hope this helped!

In order to make their schedules more standard, what did the railroads do?
Doss [256]

Answer:

Option C

Explanation:

After the completion of the railways, there was a big problem facing this sector, there was a disparity in time across the country; time was locally determined by some local solar time frame which were different from one locality to another. To tackle this issue, there need to be some sort of standard time. if not, there is no way to predict when moving passengers and freight, train will arrive; so some sort of coordinate to follow so that things work out right in determine and predicting schedules is needed.

In order to make their schedules more standard, the railroads divided the United States into time zones( the time zone was divided into four standard time zone)

The division of the United States into Standard time zones was first done by the railroads to end the confusion of dealing with thousands of local times.

which statement best expresses the western perspective regarding Rudyard Kipling's "white man's burden"
wel
The "White Man's Burden" was an idea revolving around the concept that it was the moral and social responsibility of European citizens to spread their values, religion, and system of government to countries and territories they deemed as "inferior."

The goal in taking up this "burden" was to civilize nations of citizens who did not have these systems already in place.

In this case, from the western perspective, the answer would relate to seeing this idea as a positive element of society. Since there are no option choices in the question this is my best educated guess.
