Compare the importance and opportunity of education in the north to that in the south.

Although inequality was reasonably common in both the North and the South, it was more significant in the South. The Northern population was more likely to be middle class, as well as more likely to engage in different trades besides agriculture. This meant that education in the North was more common and widespread than in the South, where it was the privilege of a few lucky ones.

The northerners put education in greater emphasis and importance in their life. Meanwhile, southerners thought that education was a matter of privacy.

EXPLANATION:

Here is the explanation of comparison between the North and the South in terms of the importance and opportunity of education:

• Throughout history, it is known that education has significantly developed. Because of the growth of transportation, manufacturing, trade, and city inhabitants in the North in the 1800s, numerous alterations were introduced. Many cities took on a progressively crucial role in defining the culture of the North.

Most of the Northerners were religious Protestant agriculturalists. Since villages had grown into sound centres of community activities, both education and religion were systematized. There were churches and schools in many cities.

The Northern concern on public education raised after the 1830s, and numerous public schools were established in many larger cities. However, the smallest number of boys studied in secondary school and college was earmarked frequently for rich people. Then again, education in the north came to be much greater emphasis on importance in people’s lives as time passed by.

• In the meantime, the southern states did not own the tradition of public education to establish, as the north did. It was only once the Civil War where the southern states started to enact for state-supported schools.

They thought that in all traditional communities, the most crucial thing to teach a child in was providing education at home. Southerners assumed that education was a matter of private and education was not an affair of the state. Besides, education was very luxurious in the south and it could only be obtained by the rich people who could hire a private tutor.

Why do you think African societies placed such high importance on art?
Minchanka [31]

Answer:

African art has as its main influence religion, functionalism and utilitarianism. Depending on the region, one of these influences may be stronger than the other, sub-Saharan Africa, for example, the art that is most influenced by religion, probably because of the social and economic difficulties they face, which make artists connect more with religion as a way of supporting national problems. The areas where these problems are not so prominent, usually have greater influences on utilitarianism and functionalism, probably because artists have more access to concepts, techniques and information.

African societies place a lot of importance on art because it is a way of externalizing feelings and promoting criticism. This is very strong in this region that was so scrapped and exploited by other nations that it caused problems that can still be seen today in these societies.

What people hated about Russian
Aloiza [94]

Answer:

Anti-Russian sentiment (or Russophobia) is a fear and/or dislike for Russia, Russians and/or Russian culture. A variety of mass culture clichés about Russia and Russians exist. Many of these stereotypes were originally developed in the Western world during the Cold War, and were primarily used as elements of political war against the Soviet Union. Some of these prejudices are still observed in the discussions of the relations with Russia.[5] Negative representation of Russia and Russians in modern popular culture is also often described as functional, as stereotypes about Russia may be used for framing reality, like creating an image of an enemy, or an excuse, or an explanation for compensatory reasons.Hollywood has been sometimes criticised for its excessive and continuous use of Russians as the villains.

On the other hand, Russian nationalists and apologists of Russian politics are sometimes criticised for using allegations of "Russophobia" as a form of propaganda to counter criticism of Russia.

Hope it helps!
