Correct answer: Incomplete dominance

Incomplete dominance is a type of inheritance under which one allele for a certain trait is not completely expressed in a pair of the allele. It is a result of a combination of both the alleles.

It occurs when a dominant allele is not able to mask completely the recessive form of the allele. As a result of this, the phenotypic expression shows the blended appearance of both the alleles.

Example: Snapdragon Flower is pink in color, which is a result of cross-pollination between white flower and red flower. In this cross neither the allele of white nor that of red flower is dominant. That is why it results in an intermediate color pink.
