He already walked the dog five times for 8 dollars each. 8x 5 = $40
88-40= $48
We need 48 dollars more to get to $88 or more. So we have to find how many times do we need to walk the dogs to get 48 dollars.
48/8= 6
We need to walk the dog 6 more times to get 88 dollars.

Statements 1 and 2 are true conditional statements.
WARRIOR [948]

The valid conclusion about statement A and statement B is "If Figure A is a parallelogram, then Figure A’s angles sum to 360°".

The correct answer option is option D.

What is conditional statement?

A conditional statement can be defined a statement that is written in the form “If A then B,” where A and B are sentences.

For this conditional statement:

Sentence A is called the hypothesis

Sentence B is called the conclusion.

Hypothesis: This is an assumption taken to be true for the purpose of argument or investigation.

Conclusion: This is the proposition that follows as a necessary consequence of the premises in an argument or syllogism.

Hence, “If A then B” means that B must be true whenever A is true.

Therefore, if a figure is a parallelogram, then it is a quadrilateral; If a figure is a quadrilateral, then its angles sum to 360°.

It can be concluded that if a figure is a parallelogram, then it's angles must sum to 360°.

A rectangle has a length that is 5 meters greater than the width. If w represents the width, write an expression, in terms of w,
ahrayia [7]

Answer:

Area of rectangle is w^2+5w

Perimeter of Rectangle is 4w+20.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Let the width of the rectangle be 'w'.

Also Given:

A rectangle has a length that is 5 meters greater than the width.

Length of rectangle = w+5\ meters

We need to write expression for Area of rectangle and Perimeter of rectangle.

Solution:

Now we know that;

Perimeter of rectangle is equal to twice the sum of the length and width.

framing in equation form we get;

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(w+5+w)=2(2w+5) =4w+20

Also We know that;

Area of rectangle is length times width.

framing in equation form we get;

Area of rectangle= w(w+5) = w^2+5w

Hence Area of rectangle is w^2+5w and Perimeter of Rectangle is 4w+20.
