Answer:

The number of 57-cent stamps that Julie bought is 12

Step-by-step explanation:

Given equation

0.57 s + 0.3 ( s − 6 ) = 8.64

Open bracket

0.57s + 0.3s - 1.8 = 8.64

Collect like terms

0.87s = 8.64 + 1.8

0.87s = 10.44

Divide both sides by 0.87

s = 12

The number of 57-cent stamps that Julie bought is 12

ALGEBRA
EQUATION
PLEASE HELP ASAP

-3=12y-5(2y-7)
Dovator [93]

Simplify:

−3=12y−5(2y−7)

−3=12y+(−5)(2y)+(−5)(−7)(Distribute)

−3=12y+−10y+35

−3=(12y+−10y)+(35)(Combine Like Terms)

−3=2y+35

Flip the equation.

2y+35=−3

Subtract 35 from both sides.

2y+35−35=−3−35

2y=−38

Divide both sides by 2.

2y/2=−38/2

y=−19

If a company made $45000 and they had a 25% increse
sdas [7]
Calculator recommended.

All you'd do is $45,000 * 0.25 (25% is 0.25, 32% is 0.32, etc.)

They had a $11,250 increase. If you want the total sum then:

$45,000 + $11,250

Your Answer(s):
$11,250 increase
$56,250 in total of how much the company made.

I need help. i don’t understand this question .
user100 [1]

So the question is asking to solve for y

You know RS=7y-4

You know ST=y+5

You know RT=28

RS+ST=RT as shown in the diagram, This means that you can use that equation and replace RS,ST, and RT with what you know they are equal too. So you end up with the equation:

(7y-4)+(y+5)=28, Now you have to solve for y

7y-4+y+5=28

8y+1=28

8y=27

y=3.375
