Dexter Green is a dynamic character because in the first part of the story he was a dreamer, he has been in a relationship for quite some time. However, as the story progresses he has changed. He left the woman he loved to pursue his dreams. His priorities have changed as well as his mindset. His changes was brought about by his experiences in life.
