Answer:

First, you substitute  86 from F. Then, you subtract 86 and 32. You should get 54. Now you'll multiply 5/9 and 54 which should give you 30. So 86 degrees Fahrenheit is 30 degrees Celsius

I just did this and got it right ;) it's a paraphrased sample response.

Sample response from edge nuity: To find the celsius temperature, substitute 86 for F in the formula. Then, use the order of operations to simplify. Substract 32 from 86. Then multiply 5 9 by 54 to get 30°C.  I took the test.

Line XY is perpendicular to line CD at D. Which conclusion can be drawn?
guapka [62]
I have attached the choices given for this question

Answer:
measure angle XDC = 90 degrees

Explanation:
The term "perpendicular" implies that the angle formed between the two lines is 90 degrees.
These two lines do not have to be equal in length, they just intersect forming a 90-degree angle.

Comparing the explanation with the given choices, we would find that the only correct choice is:
measure angle XDC = 90 degrees

Hope this helps :)

When x=2 and y=4, what is the value of 7x-y?
kicyunya [14]

Answer:

the value of 7x-y is -14.

Step-by-step explanation:

When x=2 and y=4,

To find the value of 7x - y when x =2, y = 4, this means when ever you see x, put 2 in replacement, y, put 4 respectively.

7x - y = 7(2 - 4)

14 - 28

= -14.
