In what type of rock is the ratio of unstable isotopes to stable isotopes best measured?
Nana76 [90]

Answer: Igneous Rock

Explanation: Radiometric dating is used to date rocks by measuring the decay of their composite materials. Stable isotopes remain the same over   time while the nucleus of an unstable or radioactive isotope will decay to form other isotopes .

Dating rocks using Isotopic methods uses the decay time of the isotope in the rock to assess its age. The accuracy of this method is assured by the fact that when these isotopes decay, they are retained in the rock. Isotopic dating is not very accurate in sedimentary rocks because they contain particles from older rocks.

How does the tilt of Earth's axis affect how the sun's rays strike eachother?
victus00 [196]
The tilt of the Earths axis can affect where the Suns rays hit the Earth. If the northern hemisphere tilts slightly more than the southern hemisphere, the northern hemisphere is facing the sun more often, this is known as "Summer" for people in the north, and "Winter" for people in the south. Im not sure if that answered your question, but the suns rays bounce off the Earths surface and clouds and sometimes hit each other in our atmosphere.

Why would NASA construct a 3-D computer model of the Space Shuttle prior to actually constructing one?
AnnyKZ [126]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

If NASA had constructed a Space Shuttle without knowing if it would be safe for its passengers, there could be many casualties. So they would test it beforehand using a model, to make sure that it will be safe and sturdy for when they build it.
