When having in mind the meaning of a direct observation, we can state that is the method of collecting information for a study by watching the subject directly without making any changes to its natural habitat. based on that we know that the best option is the last one: determining the seal population of an island by counting seals in 10 square meters of the island. I know this is going to be helpful

All I know is that I answered it with B....reading numbers on a heat sensor to conclude that there is a deer in the night woods and it is wrong!

I will try next time to select C...listening to a cricket chirp at night and counting the number of chirps per minute.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ON BOTH BRAINLY AND QUIZLETS THE ANSWERS VARY BETWEEN B and C. I dont know if people who have posted have ever gone back and checked answers so choose wisely.

You need to check each sentence for errors. If there's an extra letter, such as the "s" in "reads" (#1) you need to use the symbol which deletes a letter. If a sentence/word is missing a word/letter... you need to use a symbol to show that a word/letter should be shown there.

Why would an author choose to use figurative language?
sergij07 [2.7K]

Certain literary devices such as similes, metaphors, and personification can help create word pictures for the reader. When persuasive writers use figurative language, they are more likely to engage their readers and make their argument more relevant and convincing.

Hope this helps!

What types of details should a draft of a research-based essay contain?
grin007 [14]

Answer:

Explanation:

You do want to paraphrase information. You want to make sure that you know essentially who said what.

You want to include the facts that relate to the topic. This is more to remind yourself what the facts are.

The quotations are always a good idea. You are making sure that your reader knows that you are not alone in what you think or if it is a quotation that requires a negative response, that is also good.

These are the three that you should check.
