One of the primary themes in The Most Dangerous Game is the disparity between reason and instinct. Connell has tried to blur the lines between the two faculties and tried to demonstrate that these faculties of the human mind are not as starkly apart or clear-cut as they are thought to be. Then you should begin with an introductory paragraph. You may wish to use the common 'I am writing to you...' but avoiding this and using something more original may earn you more marks. You could use an anecdote related to your topic, maybe describing an overcrowded prison, for example.
