Answer:

'The Taming of the shrew' talks about complexity of issues in love, marriage and society.

Explanation:

"The Taming of the Shrew" by "William Shakespeare" talks about love, whether it is romantic, platonic or filial. He talks about romantic relationship between a man and a woman when they take interest in each other and decide to get married. Both of them show their romantic side to their partner during the courtship and their love is both romantic and platonic during this time.

The theme 'filial' is depicted in the story when Shakespeare shows how parents play a significant role in life of their children who are about to get married. Lucentio and Bianca loved each other but he got permission to marry her only after convincing her father Baptista that he was very rich.

Which excerpt from the text most effectively demonstrates that the narrator's point of view about the Cabuliwallah has changed?
Lilit [14]

The correct answer is "I felt a little sorry, and would have called him back, but I found he was returning of his own accord."

Explanation: In "The Cabuliwallah" by Rabindranath Tagore, the narrator did not like the idea of the Cabuliwallah showing on the day of his daughter's wedding, and denied his request to see her. The narrator begins to feel bad for him, and before the Cabuliwallah leaves, he accepts the gifts he brought for her.

The mirror changes into _____.
Naddik [55]
The correct answer is B. a lake, to suggest deeper meaning. The mirror as such is a metaphor of feminine frailty and insecurity; however, when it turns into a lake, it transcends that meaning and evolves into a metaphor of aging, time and change. It doesn't turn into a woman; it just shows the woman's transformation from a young girl into an old woman.

One of your best performing associates has seemed distracted recently, resulting in declines in sales. You've asked if anything
rjkz [21]

Answer:

Least likely thing to do

Talk to other associates in the department to see if they know what is causing the performance problems.

Most likely thing to do

Give her specific examples of where her performance is slipping and ask what you can do to help

Explanation:

The most sensible and appropriate thing to do when you notice that one of your best performing associate seems distracted which is affecting sales, causing decline is to meet her and clearly let her know that her performance is slipping, giving her specific examples so she can know where her frailties are so that she can approve. Also offering a hand to help is another likely and sensible thing to do.

This is an effective way of handling the crisis since the associate has proven herself to be an effective and top performing worker.

The least likely thing to do would be talking to other associates and trying to find out if they have an idea of what is causing the performance problems.

This is not a sensible approach because the best person to meet and inquire about the performance problems is the affected associate. She is best placed to inform you about the reasons for the decline and also to work on fixing the performance problems that is impacting sales.
