Benjamin Franklin was a publisher, statesman, author and diplomat from the United States. He played a significant role in the history of the United States. In the year 1785, he left France to attend the Philadelphia Constitutional Convention. He was a delegate from Pennsylvania in the Constitutional Convention. At the time when the convention came to an end, he asked his fellow representatives to maintain the massively debated new document.
