54 % of his free time is used on video games and internet

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Given that Gary spend 10 hours per week on the internet and 9 hours per week playing video games

Gary has 5 hours of free time per day

We know that, 1 week = 7 days

5 hours of free time per day, So for 1 week get,

7 x 5 = 35 hours of free time per week

Time spent per week on internet and video game = 10 + 9 = 19 hours per week

<em><u>The percent of free time used on video games and internet is:</u></em>

percent = \frac{\text{ Time spent per week on internet and video game }}{\text{ 35 hours of free time per week}} \times 100

percent = \frac{19}{35} \times 100 = \frac{1900}{35}\\\\percent = 54.286 \approx 54

Thus 54 % of his free time is used on video games and internet

xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:

<em>B. 25,636 feet</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

sin(55) = h/x

h = 21,000

sin(55) = 21,000/x

x = 21,000/sin(55)

x = 25636.27 ≈ 25,636 feet

Hope this helped! :)

Arlecino [84]

<u><em>I'm almost confident that I did this wrong, but i tried...</em></u>

Answer:

4a-9 ÷ -19

Step-by-step explanation:

(It was easier for me to put it in fractions)

\frac{2(a-3)}{(a-4)(a-5)} + \frac{a-1}{(3-a)(a-4)} + \frac{a-2}{(5-a)(a-3)}        (3-a) (a-4) + (5-a) (a-3)

\frac{2a-6}{(a-4)(a-5)} + \frac{a-1}{(3-a)(a-4)} +  \frac{a-2}{(5-a)(a-3)}      3 - a · a - 4 + 5 - a · a - 3

    \frac{2a-6}{(2a-20)} + \frac{a-1}{(3-a)(a-4)} + \frac{a-2}{(5-a)(a-3)}               3 - a + 1 - a - 3

   \frac{2a-6+a-1+a-2}{(2a-20)+(3-a)(a-4)+(5-a)(a-3)}                        1 - a - a

                 \frac{4a-9}{2a-20+1-2a}                                       1 - 2a

                   \frac{4a-9}{2a-19-2a}

                      \frac{4a-9}{-19}

A bank in the Bay area is considering a training program for its staff. The probability that a new training program will increas
WITCHER [35]

Answer:

P(B' \cup A') = P((A \cap B)') = 1-P(A \cap B)= 1-0.32=0.68

See explanation below.

Step-by-step explanation:

For this case we define first some notation:

A= A new training program will increase customer satisfaction ratings

B= The training program can be kept within the original budget allocation

And for these two events we have defined the following probabilities

P(A) = 0.8, P(B) = 0.2

We are assuming that the two events are independent so then we have the following propert:

P(A \cap B ) = P(A) * P(B)

And we want to find the probability that the cost of the training program is not kept within budget or the training program will not increase the customer ratings so then if we use symbols we want to find:

P(B' \cup A')

And using the De Morgan laws we know that:

(A \cap B)' = A' \cup B'

So then we can write the probability like this:

P(B' \cup A') = P((A \cap B)')

And using the complement rule we can do this:

P(B' \cup A') = P((A \cap B)')= 1-P(A \cap B)

Since A and B are independent we have:

P(A \cap B )=P(A)*P(B) =(0.8*0.4) =0.32

And then our final answer would be:

P(B' \cup A') = P((A \cap B)') = 1-P(A \cap B)= 1-0.32=0.68
