Answer:

Check explanation.

Explanation:

LDL and HDL are the acronyms for Low Density Lipoprotein and High Density Lipoprotein respectively. Both are the two main forms of cholesterol.

When someone has a high level of Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL), the values will be 160 and above(between 160 - 189 mg/dL and VERY high level of Low Density Lipoprotein is between 190 upwards) which causes high risk for heart disease and associated disorders.

When someone has a high level of High Density Lipoprotein (HDL), we will be talking of values between 40 - 60 ( in mg/dL) which is good for fighting heart disease and other related disorders. Lower than 40 mg/dL is not good.

==> SUMMARY: High concentration of HDL is good for protection against heart disease and high concentration of LDL is bad fo the protection of the heart against disease and other related diseases.

Ugo [173]

Answer:

Evaluating her pulmonary hypertension and scheduling her for a sleep study was the correct procedure, however the clinic should test her for peripheral edema too.

Explanation:

If a patient has a cronic ilness as pulmonary hypertension, she must be tested for peripheral edema to avoid another complications such as pulmonary embolism. She arrived at the clinic showing lower extremity swelling.

Even though she had an echocardiogram, the physicians should dig a little deaper and investigate her heart condition as well.

Otherwise, she wil have a blockage of an artery in the lungs and have shortness of breath, chest pain, which leads to coughin up blood , fast heart rate and sudden death.

The simple fact that her swelling was solved by diuretics, do not mean she is out of danger.
