Answer:

Television coverage of the Vietnam War had a huge impact in America. It was the first time people saw footage of combat in their homes, not only combat but more importantly the casualties resulting from it. Seeing American dead and wounded was a real shock, in prior wars such images were rarely released to the public.

The Vietnam War was greatly impacted by television especially on the US's side. The US government often lied about certain battles or progress they made with the help of television. Although it would be possible to do the same with newspaper, it's much more efficient and believable when you here it from government officials themselves over the TV.
