Before the wiesel family members are taken, maria, their former maid, offers to hide them in a safe shelter. What does mr. Wiesel say about this offer? What does the family decide? Although it's impossible to place ourselves in such a situation, what do you think your family would decide in such a situaton?

When Maria offers to hide them in a shelter, Mr Wiesel says no. Mr. Wiesel doesn't believe that he needs to go into hiding at this point and time. He doesn't take the current situation seriously and would like his family to stay together. If I was in their shoes, my family would most definitely go into hiding at the shelter. Safety is the most important thing, for us.
