Answer:

The circumflex branch and the anterior interventricular artery are branches of the left coronary artery.

Explanation:

The coronary arteries nourish the heart by delivering oxygen and essential nutrients to the muscle tissue of the heart. They originate from the base of ascending aorta and are divided into the left coronary artery (runs from the left side of the heart) and right coronary artery (runs from the right side of the heart).

The left coronary artery primarily provides blood to the left atrium, inter-ventricular septum and superior parts of the left ventricle. It further branches into the circumflex artery and anterior interventricular artery (left anterior descending artery). Circumflex artery is a short artery that provides blood to the left atrium and ventricle while anterior inter-ventricular artery gives blood to the inter-ventricular septum, the papillary muscles of the mitral valve, the bundle of His and the anterior surface of the left ventricle. The right atrium, SA node, some portions of both ventricles, and AV node receive blood from the right coronary artery. It branches into the right marginal artery, posterior inter-ventricular (posterior descending) artery, conus arteriosus, right anterior atrial and ventricular arteries.
