Extinction of an species or organism is defined as condition where existence of certain species of living organism will completely be destroyed.

Extinction can be caused both by natural causes such as evolutionary changes, Global warming  and also by man-made activities such as deforestation, Pollution and Habitat destruction etc.  Cause of Infectious disease usually does not take as primary one.

Human has a major involvement in polluting the environment through various activities which can destroy the existence of various living species and habitat destruction which is also due to the activity of human (deforestation or over harvesting of lands for agriculture)can cause extinction.
