Answer: D. The grasses will be gone and any surviving consumers will have to look for new resources in that environment.

Explanation:

A food chain is a linear sequence of transfer of food and energy when one organism is consumed by another organism. Forest fire is a natural disaster which is likely to disturb the ecosystem. It is a kind of limiting factor which will reduce the growth, abundance and distribution of the population of living species.

If the grasses are burned than mice will not receive food, then the mice population will have to look for new area where grasses grow.

Also the cat will not receive food as mice population will migrate to new habitat. Lastly, the coyout population has to move to new place where it can find cat as food.

Snapdragons are a type of flower. When red snapdragons are crossed with white snapdragons the resulting flowers are all pink. A
Akimi4 [234]

There is a 50% probability that the flowers of a plant with pink flowers parents will have pink flowers due to incomplete dominance.

The genotypes and phenotypes that we will employ to address this issue are as follows:

RR - Red

RW - Pink

WW -  White

They would have the RW genotype as the first parent plant is pink. They would have the WW genotype because the other parent is white. When the Pink flower parents are crossed, the children that might be expected from this cross

RW x RW

The progeny will be : 1 RR (Red), 2 RW (Pink) and 1 WW (White)

This shows that there is a 50% probability that the progeny will have the RW genotype and thus the pink phenotype. Additionally, we can observe that there is a 25% likelihood that the progeny will have the WW and RR genotype and the white and Red phenotype.

ANSWER: The completion of the Human Genome Project

EXPLANATION:

Human Genome Project (HGP) was completed in April, 2003. Genome varies from one individual to another.

The project involved mapping and sequencing of some people and in other to get each chromosome full sequence in individuals.

However, at the beginning of this project, concerns like ownership and privacy of personal genetic information began to spring up. People are afraid that employers may have access to their genetic information and would reject persons with health issues indicated by their unique genes and health insurance companies may also not provide insurance to people that have deficiency.

In the view of this concern, the United States in 1996 passed the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) which guides against the non-consensual and unauthorized release of health information of individuals.
