Fred is involved in a heated argument with Gene. Gene believes that the stages of a child's cognitive development are worthy of
Ede4ka [16]

Answer:

Gene is taking a Piagetian approach, while Fred is a proponent of the behaviorist approach.

Explanation:

Piaget's approach and studies centers on the fact that a child goes trough certain cognitive stages, in which a development occurs. These are:

 1. Sensorimotor Stage.
 2. Preoperational Stage.
 3. Concrete Operational Stage.
 4. Formal Operational Stage.

Meanwhile, a behaviorist approach centers on the fact that what matters is what we can see which is the behavior, instead of only creating speculation about the mind since it is not tangible.

In this episode of The Office, Jim performed a classical conditioning experiment with Dwight. He played the Windows reboot sound
Pavlova-9 [17]

Answer:

A. Unconditioned stimulus => Jim offering an Altoid

B. Unconditioned response => Dwight reaching out his hand

C. Conditioned stimulus => The Windows reboot sound

D. Conditioned response => Dwight reaching out his hand

Explanation:

In classical conditioning, an unconditioned stimulus is a natural stimulus that elicits a response naturally. In the scenario above, Jim offering Dwight an Altoid would naturally make Dwight reach out his hand to receive the Altoid, which is a natural response elicited in Dwight. This natural response is the unconditioned response.

On the other hand, a conditioned stimulus can be referred to as a neutral stimulus that usually do not produce a response alone, but after being paired with a conditioned stimulus, it would become associated with it and would produce the same response if later presented alone. In the case stated in the question, the Windows reboot sound is a neutral stimulus which normally would not make Dwight reach out his hand, but after being paired with the unconditioned stimulus, it then becomes a conditioned stimulus when presented alone to elicit the same response that was elicited by the unconditioned stimulus. This response whereby Dwight reaches out his hand at the sound of the windows is referred to as the conditioned response.

What conclusion can correctly be made about British colonization of this area (Australia)
VashaNatasha [74]
The reasons that drove the British to attack Australia were basic. The detainment facilities in Britain had turned out to be excruciatingly stuffed, a circumstance declined by the refusal of America to take any more convicts after the American War of Independence in 1783. Wrongdoing rates were ascending the country over while extensive quantities of individuals were moving far from country territories to the undeniably industrialised urban communities where joblessness ran high as machines supplanted labor. An expected one million individuals in Britain were underneath poverty level in 1788. So there had to be an option and Australia was just the perfect spot
