Answer: All the couple's children will be heterozygous for the tongue-rolling trait. All the children will be carriers of tongue-rolling trait.

Explanation: An autosomal recessive pattern of inheritance is a type of inheritance in which two copies of the mutant allele must be present in an individual in order to manifest the trait.

Since tongue-rolling is autosomal recessive, let (r) represent the allele for tongue-rolling and (R) represent the allele for non tongue-rolling. A woman who is a tongue-roller will have a genotype (rr) while a man who is not a carrier will have a genotype (RR). RR x rr = Rr, Rr, Rr and Rr.

All the children are heterozygous for tongue-rolling trait, that is they have one allele for non tongue-rolling (R) and one allele for tongue-rolling (r). All the children are carriers of the tongue-rolling trait.

What if plants AND humans needed photosynthesis to live?
hoa [83]

Answer:

Just 5% to 10% of the sunlight they receive gets converted into energy. So if humans are going to photosynthesize, we'd better get good at it. We would probably evolve to become a lot bigger to absorb enough light to feed and grow.
